Full Name: Lucrais Alasdair Daegmar (Nickname: Luke/ Daegs)
{Loo-Cray Alice-Dare Dayg-mar}
{Luke / Daygs}
Age: 16
Description or Playby: Luke is 5'10" with a slender build, a runner's build. Her hair is cut short and is an almost platinum blonde. Her eyes are a metallic blue-grey colour that often seems to reflect light. She has a spray of freckles across the bridge of her nose and on her cheek bones. Her most distinguishing mark is a small scar that curves from the left corner of her lips, an inch long, that looks similar to a fishing hook. She is most often found in plain v-neck shirts, shorts, and running shoes. She always has a watch on her left wrist; the band is a solid grey rubber with hundreds of tiny indents for the pattern, and the face and clasp of the watch are a champagne silver, the actual watch face being a plain white. There were ticks around the edge of the watch to mark each second tick.
Sexuality: Undefined. Luke just kinda likes whomever she likes.
Olympian Parent: Hebe
Mortal Parent: Brannaugh Daegmar
Personality: Luke is a health nut. She has always been obsessed with fitness and the prospect of elongated life. Ever since she was a child, exercise was her sole focus of life. She spent most of her time running, kick boxing, weight lifting, and swimming. Rigorous routine ran her daily life. When she wasn’t exercising, she was writing or reading to broaden her mind.
Luke was a very quiet person. Not necessarily shy as she was perfectly fine in social situations. She just didn’t like talking. Her father told her that her mother was the opposite way: vibrant, chatty, and full of life.
One of the things that she did get from her mother was clumsiness under pressure. Luke could hold her balance on top of a 6 foot tall, 3 inch diameter pole when working out on her own. But when she was in front of a group of people who were depending on her, she tripped, stammered, fumbled, and dropped.
Her greatest flaw is her severe insecurity. She is insecure about her fitness, thinking it never good enough. She is insecure about her height, towering over her friends. She is insecure about her clumsiness, looking like a fool in front of others.
She is terrified of not being in control of her body. Because of this, she has difficulties going to sleep, as she will not be able to control herself in her sleep. The idea of being mind-controlled frightens her. The idea of a concussion or migraine scares her. A broken bone or being bound scares her. The thought of growing old, growing feeble, and losing her physical abilities… scares her. She hates not being in control of herself. This is her greatest fear.
She likes: athletics, literature, meditation, salads with steak strips, and has a secret adoration of flowers.
She dislikes: laziness, immaturity, junk food (with the only exceptions being chocolate and caramel products), humid days, and makeup (aside from eye makeup).
She abhors: spiders and being feeble.
History: Luke was raised as an only child in a single-parent home. Brannaugh Daegmar, who was a native of Scotland before moving to Minnesota, was a humourous, strong willed, physically burly man. He prided himself in 3 professions: iron welder, mechanic, and blacksmith. He encouraged his daughter to be physically active, and he grew to support her addiction to working out. When she was 4, her uncle Garrick said that her father ate nails for breakfast, he was so tough. She thought she could as well, and that was how she ripped her mouth and developed the thick scar. There was really nothing of significance in her history. She grew up pretty normal. She was involved with track and field, soccer, and swim team. She passed classes with a B average. Everything was fine. Until she turned 15 and encountered her first giant spider. It was the size of a great dane, and that was not okay. It only fuelled her distaste for arachnids. She would’ve been spider food if her father hadn’t saved her from the creature. He explained to her about the camp, about who her mother was. He gave her the option of going to the camp or playing her hand at staying in the world. She chose to remain with him, having few incidents over the next year. When she turned 16, another giant spider returned, this time getting close enough to break her father’s leg. She made the decision to move to camp year-round, to save her father, a decision he reluctantly accepted.
Weapons: The only weapon that Luke has is a black metal, black rubber grip, combat knife that her father gifted her for her 10th birthday. She tried to always keep it on her person, but she found it difficult in most social situations. It is very effective against mortals and normal things, but it has no magical properties.
Abilities:
-Constant youthful appearance
In sickness, exhaustion, and sleep-deprivation, Luke still retains a youthful look to her. Her mortal friends always commented on how amazing it was that she looked so refreshed after a marathon run.
-Can cause others to take the mindset of a child for a limited amount of time.
This was not one of Luke's favourite abilities as she does not like dealing with immature people. However, she finds it handy when she needs to distract or to get her way.
(Potential Ability?)
-When in high spirits, gives off a natural rejuvenating aura to those around her. In dire situations, can transfer her own health to another person (an ability that arises only in extreme situations of need)
Years at camp: First Year at camp
Year-rounder or summer-only camper?: Year-Round
